SkyHomer Privacy Policy

Effective: [09 02, 2025]

Entity: Sky Assistant LLC (“Skyhomer”, “we”, “us”)

1) Introduction

Skyhomer provides an AI‑powered home management platform that helps homeowners track their homes and (optionally) connect with service professionals, plus companion tools for pros. This policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and your choices. It reflects the MVP feature set for the homeowner and handyman apps.

If you disagree with this policy, please do not use the service.

2) Scope

This policy applies to our mobile apps, websites, and related services (“Service”). It does not cover third‑party sites or services we do not control.

3) Personal data we collect

You provide directly

  • Identification & contact: first and last name; email.
  • Property details: home address(es); information about housing type and housing situation (e.g., apartment vs. single‑family; ownership/tenancy).
  • Content you add (optional): inventory of appliances/systems, notes, receipts/manuals, warranty info, and photos/videos of the home (only if you choose to upload). Homeowner features drive most of this collection (inventory, reminders, AI support).

Collected automatically when you use the Service

  • Technical data: device hardware, app/software version, operating system, IP address, diagnostics/crash logs.
  • Usage data & metadata: actions taken in the app, screens viewed, timestamps, and related analytics events.

From others (when needed to operate the Service)

  • Processors/vendors: hosting, analytics, customer support, fraud prevention, and payment processors (for the pro app’s payments & payouts).

Sensitive data

We do not require sensitive personal data. Precise location and home interior images are collected only with your opt‑in (e.g., to improve matching or document a job).

4) How we use personal data (purposes)

  • Provide and maintain the Service: account setup, save your property/inventory, reminders, and in‑app guidance.
  • Optional connections: When you request to connect with a service professional, we share the minimal details necessary to obtain a quote or schedule a visit. Our long-term vision includes automated negotiation/dispatch.
  • Payments (pros): invoicing, payment links, and payouts via a payment processor.
  • Safety & integrity: authentication, security monitoring, fraud prevention, and debugging.
  • Improve & develop: analytics, research, and testing to enhance features.
  • Communications: We send product updates and required notices. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
  • Legal/compliance: comply with law, enforce terms, and protect rights.

5) Legal bases (EEA/UK only)

Where GDPR applies, our bases include contract (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (security, improvement, and non-intrusive analytics), consent (for optional features such as precise location and marketing), and legal obligation.

6) Sharing Your Data

We do not sell personal information.

We share data only with:

  • Service providers (processors): cloud/hosting, analytics, crash reporting, communications, and payments—under contracts restricting their use of your data.
  • Service professionals or homeowners (at your request): to respond to a request, arrange a quote/visit, or complete a job.
  • Legal/safety: to comply with laws, protect rights, prevent fraud, or respond to lawful requests.
  • Business transfers: if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, we’ll require the successor to honor this policy.

7) Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and as required by law. Unless otherwise required, we will delete or de‑identify accounts after 24 months of inactivity. Backups and logs are deleted on scheduled cycles.

8) Your Rights and Choices

  • Opt-Out of Communications: You may opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by following the unsubscribe instructions in those emails or by contacting us directly.
  • Cookies: Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use the Services, but some features may not function properly.
  • Access, Update, or Delete Your Information: You may contact us to request access to, update, or delete your personal information. We will respond as required by applicable law.

9) Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We encourage you to take steps to protect your personal information when disclosing it online.

10) Retention of Your Information

We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or as required by law. When we no longer need to process your information, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

11) International Data Transfers

If you access the Services from outside United States, your information may be transferred to and stored in a country that may have different data protection laws than your own. We will take appropriate measures to ensure that your personal information remains protected.

12) AI features and providers

When you use our AI assistant or related features, we process your prompts, the relevant context you choose to include (e.g., inventory/warranty items), and the model outputs to provide answers/recommendations.

  • Model providers: ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Gemini (Google) as our AI infrastructure.

Training use:

We prohibit our AI vendors from using user content to train their foundation models; we contractually restrict use to providing the Service.

Human review:

Limited, role‑based review for quality/safety and troubleshooting.

We will publish a current vendor list and data processing details as they are finalized.

13) Third-Party Links

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

14) Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where EU/UK law applies). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

15) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
